Developing Concentration in Meditation.
During this three week series of classes, we will develop our concentration in meditation by engaging in a special meditation practice called The Six Stages of Training in Mahamudra. The meditation object is the mind itself, these profound meditations help increase our inner peace and reduce our delusions.
Before we develop concentration we feel some kind of mental and physical discomfort more or less all the time. Our state of mind also can quickly change from happy to sad. When we develop our concentration to focus on positive objects our mental and physical discomfort begins to reduce. Our mind becomes more peaceful and we can generate the causes for happiness within our own mind.
A perfect opportunity for those new to meditation and Buddhism and those with experience to really deepen their meditation practice and understanding. People are welcome to start attending at any point, everybody is welcome.
