Moving Forward After Loss

Feeling stuck in the pain of loss and unwanted change? Unexpected changes  and losing loved ones can bring profound pain and difficulty to each of us. When loss arrives, we can feel overwhelmed by sadness and an inner resistance to moving forward—as though holding on to pain is a way of honouring what we’ve lost.

Buddhist teachings deal directly with the truth of impermanence and can help you discover your own inner acceptance and strength when faced with life’s fleeting nature. Buddha explained how every meeting eventually leads to parting.

What to expect:

The day will include practical advice, guided meditations, time for reflection and refreshments.  Within the peaceful and supportive environment of Akanishta Centre. Our welcoming centre is easily accessible, with parking and public transport nearby. 

No prior experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome.

 About our resident teacher:

This course will be led by Gen Kelsang Opel, a highly experienced Buddhist teacher known for her compassionate and practical approach. Gen Opel has been helping people find greater peace and clarity through meditation for many years and is skilled at making these teachings accessible to everyone.
