The day will include practical advice, guided meditations, and time for reflection, within the peaceful and supportive environment of Akanishta Centre. Our welcoming centre is easily accessible, with parking and public transport nearby.
Upon arrival, you’ll have time to settle in with tea and light conversation before we begin our journey into silence. Our day will conclude with a final session to re-enter conversation, ask questions, and reflect on the experience.
We’ll provide a nourishing vegetarian lunch, along with snacks, and regular breaks to walk, rest, and reconnect with nature.
It’s suited to both beginners eager to try a silent day of mindfulness and seasoned meditators seeking a deeper experience. Please arrive between 9.30 and 9.45 to register.
About the teacher:
This course will be led by Gen Kelsang Opel, a highly experienced Kadampa Buddhist teacher known for her compassionate and practical approach. Gen Opel has been helping people find greater peace and clarity through meditation for many years and is skilled at making the dharma teachings accessible to everyone.
