We do not charge for chanted prayers/practice or unguided meditation sessions.


Becoming a supporting member is the most economical way to enjoy all our classes, courses and retreats *. If you attend classes regularly, your membership will represent substantial saving over paying for individual classes. You also have the opportunity to bring a friend to a sample class with free guest passes.

As classes you can attend are unlimited once you have paid your monthly fee, it also provides many opportunities to deepen your meditation practice and find lasting solutions to the challenges of daily life.

Akanishta Kadampa Buddhist centre is a registered charity and our aim is to provide as many people as possible with Buddhist meditations and teachings on how to solve their daily problems. As well as an integrated and practical approach to Buddhist practice and meditations along the spiritual path. If you have a wish to come to a class and are prohibited by lack of funds please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

£36 per month

This includes:

  • Unlimited access Meditation classes at the centre branches venues.
  • Foundation Programme (*enrolment required)
  • Unlimited access to Weekend events – morning courses, retreats, day courses etc (we ask for a donation towards lunch on day courses.)
  • Three free guest passes per year
  • A Discount for empowerments and special events, such as public talks with guest teachers.

£46 per month

As our top tier of membership, being a benefactor has all the benefits of a standard monthly membership, with the added bonus of free entry into special events and four free guest passes per year.  By choosing to become a benefactor you are directly supporting the activities and development of your centre.  We suggest a minimum of £46 per month, but benefactors can choose to donate as generously as they wish. You can give as generously as you wish.
